I don't think anyone has posted this before, but a good way to disable the DRLs on our newer vehicles is to paint the daylight sensor. I did this today and it looks a lot better than putting tape over it or putting a piece of cloth over it. The only other option that I had heard on here was to do the capacitor in line. It you don't drip the paint, it can look really nice and be a breeze to do. The only hard part was the backside, but if you have small hands, it's not that big of a deal. A good way to get the backside is to let a drop settle on the top and kind of nudge it down towards the back. I guess it is a little more permanent than the other solutions, but I can live with it. I had a paper towel laid up on the dash in case of drips. Afterwards, I tested it out by taking a bright flashlight that has a neat focusing feature (it was also still daylight out) and shining it on the daylight sensor. The headlights still came on full power. I hope this can help some of you guys out.
