I have the base model single exhaust right now. I was wondering what it would take to get dual exhaust. I am on a tight budget so the least I could do to get dual exhaust the better. thanks

Modding and being on a tight budget are two things that don't go together. Even if it is something as simple as using a stock catback.

That's what I was thinking. I know there's some at a local junk yard. They are sitting in the back seat and sticking out the back window lol. The thing is how much would a used set like that cost? It sits outside all the time and might be crap anyways. I would have to really check it out next time I'm there.

I should have said like how it's sitting. it is angled up so anything can just get inside. Sorry should have been more specific. I really feel stupid right now haha. How much should be the budget for something like that? I'm thinking maybe 200-250.

I just checked out some other place's prices and I think I should ask more towards $100. Does that seem right?

If you have a sawzall and a welder you could cut a triangle shape into the pipe where the turn is then weld a pipe in and build from there, or cut the pipe near the rear tires, insert a y pipe and build from there.

the stock pipes are all welded together, so you would need the whole cat back from a yard.

or you can buy a glass pack make it your res, and buy a new Y pipe and 2 new mufflers, the glass pack cost about 25 and then you need to weld a flange on it another 20, the Y pipe costs about 80, and new stock mufflers are 70 ish each. after market of your choice could go up or down, your choice.

my regal has the single muffler too, and i was thinking about getting 2 mufflers and the Y pipe when mine all rotted out, but i cheeped out, and just replaced my res with a glass pack and a new stock muffler. all of my factory pipping was already replaced on my car, so that made it a lot easier to swap out he two. as my indeterminate pipe was still in good shape. (between the res and muffler) another reason i went cheap. why buy or replace whats not needed.

If you're poor, why do you want to waste the money on the exhaust? Spend it on something worthwhile.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.
