So I've decided that the inferno hood is just not for me and that I am going to make my own fiberglass mold etc etc. I just want some input from the +04 guys on what the best design would be. If anyone can draw up some ideas, what scoops would look good on it, let me know. Who knows if the first one comes out good I might start making and selling them for a hell of a lot cheaper then you can buy other ones for.

honestly, an SD style would be hot as hell.. i also dont like the inferno, well only part of it.. i like the front, but not the louvers on the back..

SD-ish with the way that our hood has the middle split line, would look great..

the GXP's work well because the openings match up almost with the front grilles.. our grilles are huge, really almost any scoop will be better than the infernos..

I'm liking the sd hood route, I thought about how it would look and think that will be my first mockup. I'll do it on a regular hood, then if it looks good and get some good ratings/review I'll do the mold up to make it in fiberglass.

essentially if you copy the inferno, but instead of louvers at the rear you have the rear scoops, it will look tight as hell!
the front lines on the inferno line up perfectly, so that should be your starting point.

Yeah dude.... SD FTW. I really dislike the Inferno hood louvers... make it look like ass... thats why I never got one. I actually thought about doing an SD type hood but I have no welder. I know how to weld w/ minimal body work knowits. Fiberglass no way in hell lol. But if you did do one and it looks legit... I'm down for one. I also like the Comp G concept (G Force) hood would be awesome too.

As the picture is way to huge... here is the link to it.

Edit: Here is a pic of the SLP hood if you never seen it.

    Liking the ideas

Also was thinking of the sc-t hood style from the grand am and the f1 hood as well. Seems like the older style hoods would look better IMO. I'm going to photoshop a few hood later on today and post them up.

Another idea I was thinking about. Here's something quick that I threw together....

Love the se rear, hate the single tips. Figure while I'm fabricating hoods, might as well mod the other stuff that I don't like 100%

Eh don't like your double wide exhaust edit. Why not make a ws6 style hood that lines up like the slp

I like the WS6 style hood idea.

but I think cost after its all said and done will be equal to that of an inferno hood or more

you could find an Inferno hood and fill in the vents.

i saw someone on gpona attempt to make a 04+ hood and have the scoops in the same place as a g8...i cant find the link though. it sat back like the g8s and wasnt too far forward or too far back it was just perfect
