Hey guys, Tomorrow Im going to be seriously looking at an 07 GP GT, supercharged, with HUD, Tap shift etc. Its got 60,000 kms on it and so far seems to be in ok shape.

Just wanted to quickly throw this out there to see if anyone has any recommendations as to what I should check for with regards to possible troublespots, and other items etc. (ie. Check for this and that etc). I did notice that one of the 2 brackets which hold the rear "gilled" lower valance tight is broken, which I suspect will result in the thing flapping around in while going down the highway etc. Anything else?

Im going to give it a test drive tomorrow to see how things are. I've been out of the GP cars since my 1998 GTP (which was great by the way)

Anyways, thanks in advance for the help. Looking to make a purchase quickly hence my first post without much research etc.

I thought tapshift was on the Comp G's only. Hmm.... I guess I just learned something. My 07 is supercharged as well.

Uhh, well my 2008 NA was $12500 with 30k miles on it and no mechanical or body defects from a dealership....

If that tells you anything as far as value, I dunno what the miles on this car look like, and the body/engine condition... is the supercharger worth that much?

    Yes, it is.

And 60k km is only about 37,000 miles.

Drove it yesterday. Drove perfect, ran good, body in good shape no rust etc. ITs got all the bells and whistles etc. Black on black leather etc.

$13k they want for it. Seems fair to me. Also has GM factory pwr train warranty left unitl april 2012. I think i'm gonna go for it. I told them I want to rock chips fixed on the front bumper etc. Also had a check engine light on, but didnt have my scanner on me to see. Told them to fix that etc.

Since its a dealer (not GM dealer though) im trying to see what else they can do to sweeten the deal for me. Any thoughts?

ps - im in canada, so its 60KMS, not miles.

Price sounds pretty fair for that condition, options, etc. You should definitely post pics of the exterior, interior, etc. when you buy the car. Hopefully it's as nice and clean etc. as you say it is. Etc.

lol good luck with the purchase!

I seen an 07 here in canada at the dealer that had the supercharger along with HUD and tapshift.

At the time I was looking for my grand prix and a vin decode on compnine.com confirmed it had tapshift and hud right from the factory.

Also most if not all GXP's 05-08 had tapshift.

    If you enter the vin of the 07 being talked about here;

Comprehensive Chevrolet, Saturn, GMC, Hummer, Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Geo, Dodge, Plymouth, Jeep, Chrysler, Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda Truck, Mercedes VIN Decoder

I bet it will come back as having the tapshift option(KB7) and the heads-up (UV6)

This is the car in question. I don't like the look of the engine bay. Look at the radiator support and you'll see why.
