I know many of us are missing the rubber piece that the keys bang against. it pops into the dash under the ignition switch, to the left of the console. I ordered one from my local GM dealer today...after a half hour of searching, well for everyones conveience

$6.78 at your local GM dealer....I ordered mine today....

The ones I seen seem to get deformed and dont latch in fully where they end up falling out and getting misplaced after. I think in 06 they solved the issue since I never see any recent years missing them.

the yo yo who detailed mine before I picked it up must have broken the tabs off it and it kept falling off, so instead of glueing it or cobbling it I simply replaced it..

Thanks so much for providing the part number. Mine was missing also when I purchased it.
    I'll order one tomorrow.

I bought a car that didn't have one, and I donated the one from my other car to it. I took my dash apart probably 50 or more times and didn't lose or break this piece. I don't understand either.
