Ok after I installed my system u got the usual rattles from the bumps. But I got some hardcore rattles. I found out where they where coming from I just don't know what they are. They are located under the trunk carpet on the pass side they lead somewhere outside of the car. They are little like rubber flaps about 6 inches long by 1 inch high 2 stacked on top of each other and they make a horrible rattle when my subs hit didn't know if I needed them or if I could zip-tie them closed. For some reason it wont let me upload the pics. Yes I know its dusty as hell thats what u get when u live in the middle of nowhere

its just an air vent. if you do zip tie them, i would do it open, not closed.

Figured they are air vents but what are they suposed to be for. Letting in dust b/c thats about all they do lol. I see no other reason besides maby letting pressure out when u have the heat or ac on. But my seals are bad on my doors anyway so I get airflow through anyway. Ill see if I cant zip tie em open and see if they still rattle if they do ill just rip the hole thing off and be done with it.

It has two reasons to be there. #1 So when you close your door, the air has a place to escape. I have cars without this; you have to slam doors to latch up properly. #2 On a hot day it keeps your windshield from poping out.

Looks like yours has a damaged flap, I would replace/ fix it.

I would just zip tie them open and call it a day, you will have a bit less rattle with those open, beacuse I know what l7's can do in a grand prix.

yeh I'm working overtime today so I didnt get it done yet. Idk if ziptiein em open will work b/c the other parts will still rattle. I may just rip em off but yeh my dash is rattling too now right by the defrost vents. Ill take to dnyomat the hole dam car to keep it from rattling. Its falling apart now that I put the subs in lol.

keep them open and your system will sound better, not only because those wont rattle, but now it can flow more air

You won't notice a difference with them open, it will just sound less like crap from the outside...

Yes it sounds horrible from the outside. Don't like turning my system up around town b/c of all the rattles from the air-vents and the spoiler. Sounds sooo ****ty.
