hey i just recently put in my headers about a week ago. and the difference i noticed were that the exhaust was definately louder, the check engine light is on with a code of P0402, and the car feels different. like its not pulling like it used to pull.

I like my low end torque, this is why I will never put headers on my car. Some ppl like that power more at the top. Im running a 3" pulley with a plog, rockers, ported tb/sc and a ssic with the biggest fmhe I could fit on the car KR free with 18-19* timing.

LOL Green Coolant is a mod?

Gotta add that one to the list then...and what Nick said...you shifted the powerband to higher RPM's for all out flow...therefore...that low end you felt with the stock manifolds is now gone. So drop to a 2.8" now that you have supporting mods.

I thought I read somewhere that this happened to someone else and they had to do some other mod to get their torque back.. or maybe I'm just imagining things... I don't know haha

    Maybe a tune would help?

oh yeah definately a tune but im not sure if i should drop the pulley to a 3.4 or get the over kill first . . . . not sure. and if possible id like to find out more about the mod to get torque back up was it a high stall torque converter? i just love the feeling of being pulled back in my seat.

I honestly can't remember what it was that the person said fixed the issue. But I think a 3.6 pulley in 04+s are the same as 3.4 pulley in 97-03s.. correct me if I'm wrong

So probably just start with a 3.6 then go with the PCM, and see how it goes from there.

After putting my headers on, i sucked the chrome cap of the filter into the throttle body, possibly that is what happened to you.
Life goes by so fast, so why drive slow.
