The rubber membrane that has the lock/unlock buttons on my remote is tearing. I've had to fix it multiple times as the buttons don't like to work (superglue a piece of aluminum foil to the magnets and they make contact and work fine).

Is it possible to just buy the membrane? I'm guessing I'll have to shell out some $$$ and get a entire new key fob?

our keyfobs are the same as keyfobs from other chevy/pontiacs around that year. So I would check auto salvage yards, call a few up and ask if they happen to have any of the keyfobs from the vehicles they get in.
