My airbag light is on and I got it scanned today.
Got a B0100 code and the scanner said something like "Front 1 crash sensor malfunction".
Anyone that knows how to troubleshoot this?

there are 2 front impact sensor located on the rad support. remove the driver side connector and inspect the terminals for corrosion. if ok, swap the left and right sensors, clear the dtc and see if the code now says b0103... and b0100 is gone...if yes replace the left impact sensor
I changed the sensor but I'm still getting the same fault. Is it possible to troubleshoot this further?
there are more tests you can do. since this is a restraint systems circuit you must be on the correct pins when you test. running current to a deployment loop may trigger a deployment.
if swapping the sensor did not fix the problem, the fault is either in the sdm (airbag module) or the wiring from the module to the impact sensor.
the next step is to; key off disconnect the impact sensor and sdm. test the 2 wires from the sensor to sdm for short to grd, short to power and continuity. if the wiring and connectors are ok....replace the sdm.
this other method below may not work for the impact sensors but it works for the airbag modules.
I made myself a sir load tool, so what I do is just start unplugging connectors and plug in the load tool....I work my way back towards the sdm. if the code goes away, the wiring from that connector inward is good. if the fault never goes away right up to the last sdm connector...replace the sdm.

Hi again!
Are there any pinout chart available for the sdm connector? Would like to know which pins are the front left sensor.
Checked the sensor connector and got no short between them, to ground or to power.
Would however like to check them from front to sdm also.

chances are you have a dirty plug some where. under the driver seat, under the dash near the obd2 port, are tellow plugs, anything yellow is airbag related. start with the seat and take that plug off and put it on like 3 to 5 times. see if the light goes out. same for the other one under the dash.
Found the fault, one of the cables to the sensor had a nick in it so it had corroded resultating in no contact. Soldered them and now it works.
