On my 2002 4 door GP what is the GM color paint used on these moldings ,same sheen ,etc. It is a black. Is it available in a spray can ,from who. ? Any hints on me doing these myself ,they easy to remove ,how should I clean them before painting ,overall prepping them. any tricks. ? Is primer needed ? If so ,what primer should I use ? How should I paint them , the main color , a number of light coats or one or two heavy coats ???
I am not a painter ,so you know.

I used krylon gloss black as basecoat then topped with a clear coat. To remove them you have to pull out the window weatherstripping and access the screw that holds it to the door. wet sand with 600 grit to prep, lay down primer then color and clear.

I don't see the 97-03 sedan listed, but maybe you could email them and make sure. It's a temporary solution, but considerably easier than disassembling the doors.

Rvinyl responded quick, they do not have them. They suggested buying a sheet of vinyl and cutting and forming them myself.

IMHO you're better off removing and refinishing with fresh paint and clear for the following reasons:
    1. they are not hard to remove
    2. you can sand and prime to remove any rust. wrapping will trap moisture and cause further rust
    3. You can change color if you want to (say an argent gray instead of black)
