Hey, I came across a full HUD setup with wiring harness included and I was wondering what I would need to splice if anything, to get it to function properly. Also if I could just swap the whole top part of the dash into my car.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yup, already went through that just was confused on some of the cutting and wiring, just assume it'll plug into a connector in the car. The cutting is the only really confusing part to me.

It looks like you have to cut the dash pad to me. I don't think you can swap just the pad part, but I could be wrong on that.

This is from near the top, and it is kinda vague.
~ "utility knife or razor blade (for precision while cutting the dash padding)"
~ "Dremel or some sort of rotary too with a QUALITY cutting wheel (to cut through the hard plastic dash under the dash padding)"

Man I am going to miss my HUD. My 04 has it but the 07 does not. It looks like too much of a hassle to do. I'm not very good at wiring.

A lot of it is just matching colors. After HUD swapping a 97 Monte(a car that NEVER had HUD) I wouldn't hesitate to HUD swap another car.....in fact I'm considering HUD swapping my brothers 88 iroc

If you ever grow the courage to cut a hole in your dash, believe it or not, the wiring connection is actually taped down directly behind the instrument panel in the HUD cavity. I installed the HUD in my 05 GTP, and cutting the dash was the only hard part! The only other section you have to add is in the center console for the control dial. The harness is modular in that area, so installing one is simple as well, just replace the entire section running to the back-seat 12v. Hope this helps!

For my GP it needed to be wired up manually since there was no existing plug behind the dash where it goes. I just did this by matching the wires on the center console to the plug for the HUD itself and made my own harness. For cutting the dash pad, all I did was use a dremel after making a template using the windshield cowl piece. As long as you make the cuts under the dash piece you can cover it up with the cutout.
