Did they change this at some point on the newer versions? I think I'm running 3.6 and I still reset trims manually.

From what I remember my LTFT would be at zero after a flash. I think my newer truck is like that as well.

Though depending on what I'm doing I hit reset set fuel trims anyway just to make double sure. So who knows, maybe I'm wrong lol.

I believe a new flash also reset the knock learn factor as well but I don't think the 3800's use that feature.

I think on 3.6 if you just do a calibration it won't reset the trims.

I can't say I remember any version that reset fuel trims.

Yeah, maybe not a calibration only write.

A write entire should reset everything though, but that is never required on a grand prix and only for VATS and OS changes on LS style computers.

Ah yeah. Entire writes do it. I can't actually think of a time I've done that with hpt though on a 3800.

Dhp didn't have that option in the beginning. You either had to write entire to reset trims, or disconnect the battery after a partial write to clear them. It was a huge deal when they added that option.
