im going to run two alligator clips off my power leads to clip it to the cars battery on mine, having to plug in while out side is a huge pita in my apartment living condition lol

and buying the air box with hidden pcm inside, ive done that, 12.50 for the box. then i sold the air box for 20 to some random guy at a firestone shop who needed one and i used the pcm in my car.

Hey guys, I flashing a new tune the other day to adjust the timing, and I also reconfigured my CAI to mount my filter right on the end of the MAF tube, and now the car has been running really rich. (Upwards of -20 to -25 fuel trims). It's not throwing any codes. I tried cleaning the MAF, removing the air filter, and flashing stock bin, none of which solved the problem. I checked for vacuum leaks, and there are none. What else should I try checking? My next step is to buy a new MAF I guess, if nobody has any insight.

Thanks for your weekly help lol,
    Nick

Did you try moving the maf back? The maf should have 3-6" of straight tube in front of it to smooth the air flow before it goes into the maf. Yes that's what the screen is supposed to do but the screen won't do it all. And yes people have run the filter on the maf but that doesn't mean it worked right.

You also need to drive around for a week for the trims to settle in again.

I was able to get it figured out. I just redid my fender well intake since my IAT went up by about 20 over ambient with the HAI. Then I just had to reset the fuel trims.

New problem: my DHP won't scan proper EGR V with my AEM wb setup, and it reads all over the place instead. My multimeter is reading the voltage and its accurate, already checked for bad wiring. For some reason PCM or DHP isn't reading it right.

you need to add a few pid lines to uvscan to use the egr for a w/b, or all you see is voltage. theres a thread here with directions somewhere.

found it, had it saved. http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...R-using-UVScan

I tried to use that thread to use UVSCAN but it won't open on my win10 laptop. It gives an error 'Exception EOleSysError in module uvscan.exe'

I haven't done too much research to get it running, because I figured I could just scan the EGR voltage pid using DHP and then convert it in excel before tuning. But it won't even read the voltage correctly.

if you have a plx w/b you could try this, or theyere maybe other how to's for other brands. pretty sure he posted his dhp with the pid added for this to work.

I was able to finally get UVSCANNER to work by putting the whole folder into my x86 folder, then I ran a Cmd command 'CD C:\Program Files (x86)\UVSCANNER\'

    And then 'install.bat'

    Now my UVSCANNER works finally!

Time for a good old weekly update. I direct connected the AEM Wideband to my DHP Box, with a ground off the battery and the 0-5v output to the input 3 on the box. I uploaded a vid showing what happens, link is below

    https://youtu.be/79iZ8WG5qb8

Basically my multimeter reads a realistic voltage but DHP is reading numbers all over the spectrum. I also tried this thru the EGR 0-5V sensor and it had the exact same results.

its not as simple as hooking up the brown wire. dhp wont read it as a wb. you need to use uvscan and add the pid's for it, theres a thread here for it.

Okay I get that 100%, and I have done that. That's not solving my issue.

Have instructions on how to make that off board? I wired it up the same way it showed in a post here by explicit-spade but when I go to try and read it with HPtunner it says Vehicle power not detected. I have it connected to a +12v /1.5 amp power supply.
    ?

http://download.efilive.com/Tutorial...20Tutorial.pdf bunch of different pcm and how to wire em up.

sounds like your missing a ground or power to one side or the other.
