There is a Ford 8.8 rear axle hanging under a Mustang at the local yard and it's calling my name. The diff is a 3.27 ratio limited slip. I'm wanting to put it in a project car I have going. The car has an L36 and T5 (world class) from a 1996 Camaro V6. Later down the road I plan to swap the L36 out for an L67. I believe the ratios on the WC T5 from GM in 1996 are: 3.53/2.75/2.19/1.41/1.00/0.72 My tires are about 26" diameter. The car will be about 2800-3200 lbs when done.

Do you guys think the 3.27 diff will play nice with the stock L36 and later on with a stockish L67?

Link to the project thread if you're interested.

    I don't see why it wouldn't work.
