I have a stock 2000 Grand Prix GTP with the stock supercharger. I am just wondering what the lifespan is. It has 127k miles, and i heard that its a good idea to rebuild it about every 100k miles. How much does a stock rebuild kit cost, and where can i find one?

i wish our cars came with a stock twin screw

    we have heaton eatons

every 60k change your s/c oil, no rebuild unless your rotor coating has burned off, coupler is rattling, or your bearings are bad. no one really makes a rebuild kit.

    welcome.

and searching is your best friend fellow minnesota person.

The supercharger will last the life of the car. The couple how eve inside the snout can go bad and start rattleing. but those are so easy to fix and only cost like 40-50 with the supercharger oil.

Regular oil changes in the supercharger are good to do. like 40k change it.

since this is your first post, i would get some oil from the dealer and change it out.

here are some helpful links that can help you with your car.

No kidding. Hey your blower oil is shot. Gotta spend a grand on a new blower.

And the only twin screw blower offered for these cars is the Whipple W140AX...and if your car has one of those...it ain't stock. The stock one is a Generation III Eaton M90 Roots type supercharger...a pile of junk.
