I'm glad to hear the car is hitting redline faster. I had to delete the P0300 on mine, I just did it right off the bat because I ran the XP cam and that's what my tuner said to do, as well as ZZPoop.

if you add maf lb/min to your chart and multiply by 10 you can get a rough idea of how much power your car is making. mine peaked out at like 38 lb/mins.

edit: you could run a smaller gap now too, because you are running a lot of boost. and maybe try a set of NGK BR7EF to see how your car likes them. I think I ran mine at like 40 or 45.

That's cool. I'm guessing that estimates flywheel hp? I am using this math in Scanner. (([RPM]*[trans torque)/5252)*0.80. I multiply by 80% for trans loss. Highest I have seen, before the cam, is 350hp. Doubt it's that accurate since torque maxes out at 369. Haven't got a decent enough pull yet with the cam to get a reading. I'll have to make a graph and compare your formula with the one i've been using.

I haven't gotten any codes yet. Maybe i won't because of my Very Small cam. I just don't like seeing misfires in the logs, lol.

the other thing I forgot to mention about those plugs is that they are non-projected tip so they will reduce kr if there is any. and overkill liked smaller gaps for increased boost. I don't remember why.

I didn't make a graph for my scanner, I only used that in the chart.

I'll read up on those plugs, thanks. I need to learn how to read plugs. I know if they are rich, but reading timing and heat range is tricky. Not many places I can do a rip and shut it off to pull plugs. I was using 103's at .049. I'm now trying for the hottest plugs with largest gap and working down. I have zero misfires at WOT now, so i dunno if i should mess with it.

One thing that is tough when street tuning is knowing what timing, and timing curve is best. Darn near impossible without a dyno i'd imagine. Here is where I'm at now.

Zero KR. I'm kinda wondering what would happen if instead of the timing slowly falling off while rpm's climb you were to make it increase. But then i think with this type of hot blower you want timing to tick down as you accelerate. Thoughts?

a lot of LS guys run them for forced induction. I plan on using them on my 2002 Silverado when I switch to nitrous injection.

theres a few timing adder subtractors you need to zero out to maintain whats been set in the tune.

but in general boosted set up timing will get lower, just like you got it set there in the file.

Hope you guys are enjoying your holiday break. Been awhile since I messed with the tune so I found time today.

Fuel is pretty dialed at 11.5. I bumped timing up to 24 minimum at wot. I just can't get this thing to knock now. Even when it's not cold outside but I'm not sure I'll be able to run 24° on hot days. We'll see.

Has anyone seen the max timing that these engines can still make power at? 24 is the highest I've seen anyone mention so far. Will probably do the gen V swap in the spring. Seen the new zzp 2.5 intercooler today. Very tempting.

I didn't know ZZP had a new IC. I may have to check that out. I wish I knew what I was looking at with that graph. I'd like to do meth on my Regal which will require tuning but I have no knowledge on that at all

I like Impalas though. My dad has a silver Impala he bought blown up and put an L67 motor/trans pull out in it. Has 08 SS wheels on it. Good looking car I think.

I didn't get the whole top swap kit from them, most my parts are from the yard. I did pin the PCM for the bbv, but I don't have it hooked up anymore.

It's been awhile since I did it, but basically you pop a little hole in the harness and stick the pin in. Can't remember, but there are write-ups if you search. I don't need it because I basically have all traction control and torque reduction turned off in the tune. Only thing left is timing pulled during shifts.

Does this look like a dead O2? I've never seen one scanned before. Wife has been driving the car for last two weeks and it started running rough yesterday. I was thinking she put 87 in it instead of E85. Shame on me, eh? Expected to see it running real rich but instead it's running lean. O2 isn't active in closed loop at all, just a little variance. But dunno why trims are maxed out negative. is this some default pcm config when O2 craps out?

Got a belt wrap on and was wanting to test and go figure this happens, lol. Wouldn't be surprised if the O2 took a crap. Not sure it's ever been replaced and it's taken a beating on my firewall. I'll check my wiring too. I did fry it awhile back and added a longer extension. May have got corroded or something.

if its tuned for corn and the wife put gas in it, id think rich maybe, but the wideband say lean as fuk. time for a note on the dash, E85 only dear.

She says "yeah, I mean I don't think I put regular gas in it". :facepalm

It would be pig rich for sure if she did. The O2 is definitely not switching. I'm just not understanding why it would default to pegged out negative fuel trims. Makes no sense to me. She said it ran fine on the freeway. And if I spray some mad cleaner in the filter it runs great, so it's not spark. That was actually the first thing I did. I moved the icm ground. When I installed the belt wrap the ground was in the way so I moved it. Figured for sure that was the issue.

If it's an O2, are aftermarket O2s no good on these systems? I.have a new denso I think in the garage. It's one of those that you have to cut and splice on.

if you scan a wot pull, watch the o2 voltage in MV, it should hit 930 ish give or take and stay there, if its low or drops off. the o2 is bad.

It doesn't switch hi/low in idle. And it's -25 when the O2 volt is 930. Don't wanna do a wot and have it pulling a ton of fuel. I ordered a Delco sensor. Just gonna throw a part at it because it's never been replaced and why not, it's Papa Trump money.
