New MH1's and housings are ordered. I decided not to get a new HID kit. Going to reuse the Mori 35watt HID's that are on the current retro or rob the 55watt Mori HID's off the truck retro. Not sure yet.

Also where can a guy get bolts for the fbody brackets? Not the caliper bolts, I have those. I need the bolts that hold the caliper bracket to the spindle

Wouldn't you re-use the old and get the sleeves from McMaster

Jesus man, whats with all the stuff, new car?
I thought that was already on the car

No if you reuse the stock GP bolts you drill/tap the fbody bracket and use the stock bolts, GP bolts are bigger. Using the sleeves you use the Fbody bracket bolts. I have the sleeves and need Fbody bolts.

Yes and no. I have a truck but I'm not driving it due to the fact it gets 14mpg tops.
I've had the stuff for a few years. I was waiting to go turbo to put the stuff on, but I'm tired of the stuff sitting in the closet.

The car needs a lot of freshening up, just trying to get it done.

Toying with the idea of getting some GR2's for now and waiting on the Bilsteins so I can make another set of coils. Coils won't happen for a long time though.

EDIT: Might even go cheaper and get Monroe's. Right at $190 for a set of 4. Those will get my by for awhile until I can do the coils.

Anyone run the front and rear STB's from ZZPoop? I was originally looking at the BMR STB's but they're $340/pair vs $160/pair for ZZP's. It's my understanding the STB's don't offer a huge improvement to begin with so I thought of maybe getting the cheaper ZZP bars.

Also, DD is sending me 4 new LED's so that's nice.

The STB's do quite a bit if that's all you have, especially in the rear. But once you already have suspension stuff, the improvement is kinda masked.

They also make great places to hang stuff out of the way as you're working. lol

If you don't mind cutting and grinding, you can make brackets for the GM STB's with ~$20 worth of 3/8in steel plate. That, and you can still find the GM STB's for $30-$40 online...or go JY spelunking. lol

I've got a template that seems to fit pretty well on the front, haven't done one for the rear STB yet. I just put it over one of the strut mount studs and called it a day. lol

I'm okay with spending the 80 bucks a piece. I'd rather not screw with adding brackets. Not sure if you saw the previous page. The stuff I have is new Bilsteins, drop springs, front Dorman bar, rear Addco bar, BMR lateral links, BMR trailing arms and whatever STB's.

Yeah, I've been looking at this. Haven't decided, but may mix BMR/ZZP front and rear bars just because of the benefit vs cost.

ZZP recently updated theirs. You probably seen that over in Suspension/Brakes.

BTW did you pick up that rear sway recently? if so from where? I need somewhere that will ship to AK without charging more than the bar is worth lol

I've seen ZZP lists them as "Gen 2" now. But no I have no clue what the previous version was like.

I got it maybe a year or so ago? I can't remember. Ordered it through summit so it shipped for free. Alaska may be different though

Also I had to wait several months for it. I might've waited 6 months for the thing by the time it was over with

New LED's are on the way and should be here Saturday. Talked with Steve at DD and he made it effortless to get replacements. A+ on his/DD's part.

    Got some stuffs.

New MH1 7.0's. I have these same projectors in the truck retro. The output of these is phenomenal for the size. Gatling Gun shrouds are my shroud of choice. Just so happens they're the only ones that fit.

New TYC housings. Driverside corner light is broke right out of the box. Kinda irritated but Rockauto has already sent a new one out

New BMR trailing arms came too

And the replacement LED's from DD

Damn. Those BMR trailing arms look tough. Expensive, but way thicker than anything else out there. I just got a pair of the boxed trailing arms from ZZP, which happen to be the Dorman brand... They might be like 1/3 as thick. I want the whole BMR setup really. But can't right now... have to go cheap.

Ohh yeah? Huh. I remember them being way more. Maybe it was the whole package deal that they sell that I was thinking about. $120 ain't that bad, true there. The Dormans were $50 for the pair. Still better than the 17 year old stockers, I'm sure. The BMR stuff looks so pro tho.

You might be thinking of the lateral links. Those are $480 for a set. I got those used though

Well I think this is the end of the road. Didn't realize how bad the car is underneath, it's been a couple years since I've looked underneath. MUCH worse from the last time I seen it. Probably selling EVERYTHING and going a different direction.

Sad news indeed, I really like this car...

Too much effort to just look for a rust free shell and swap everything over?
