Hey guys, I had a post in the intro section for my car but now that I'm getting more things done on the car I figured I'd make a build thread. I have no idea how to forum so please bear with me.
Picked up this car for $600 in may 2015 and even drove it home... barely haha

Needs work but we'll get to that

Once I got it home I started doing some typical snooping in the engine bay. LEAKS! We'll get to that later also
In the mean time I just started to enjoy my new to me car.
After 1 whole day of driving my car sounded like a bunch of rocks bouncing around... after only a few minutes of research I found my problem! guesses? lol
    Then
I got the rack and pinion changed and a new power steering pump, it drives like a new car already!

Not knowing what I was really getting I got myself a nice hot air intake.....
oh well it'll work until I make my own FWI. I then got a scanner so I can see whats going on. ABS and SRS lights are on so I'll be diving into those.

Ate abs will fix itself as you need to replace wheel bearings. Sometimes it's just a broken wire and can be spliced.

srs is the airbag. if your radio controls are dead on the steering wheel its the clock spring. if they work its a dirty plug or the airbag module under the pass seat and carpet. its a box you can see in the carpet. if the cowl leaks or did leak the module can go bad from the water getting to it.

I have a problem with dash lights and I will NEVER stop until they're out haha. But like I say I have had this car a while and I'm just doing a thread to catch up on everything I've done. I had the EBCM sent off and I got it back and boom! fixed!

Okay here we go! sense I've had the car a while and been dragging my feet on making a build thread I'll just do all my updates and get right on track.
I figured out the ABS problem by searching around the internet and deciding I needed a new EBCM. The JY here sells them for like $13, and sense they HAVE to be out of a GTP I grabbed all the GTP EBCM's haha, which was 6. I tested them all and shockingly all work. So I have spares.

I was dying for a killer sound system sense I have only ever had straight cab pickups.. So I got one!
    [IMG][/IMG]
Pioneer flip out. Eh its alright. after a month or so I was starting to want more features. and this one runs slow at times. But the upside is the audio quality, stellar!!

    [IMG][/IMG]

I got it all done then had to test it out! I love it! but killed my battery haha. It only took me 4 hours to intsall and wire everything up. Thanks Booba5185 for the help on tuning everything.

it's not really that loud. I listen to rock, so most songs don't have a lot of bass. and my wife could care less about getting on this forum.

So this week was busy and my car got lotsa goodies.

    Home Depot CAI.... $30!

Took me about an hour to fit and install the CAI. I need to find a newer style recovery tank so I can lay my PCM all the way down. But for now it'll do.

Im heading to the JY tomorrow to find a 2 piece cowl, Cross brace, sway bars and better trailing arms.

I went to the car wash and the passenger floor board got a wash too........ So I got that permanent fix deal on ebay

You should get rid of the accordion tube and get a rubber plumbing coupler. http://www.amazon.com/Black-Rubber-C.../dp/B00AZM8UZ0 idk if that is the correct size but you want the thing like that.

Also, I noticed that it takes forever to kill cruise control, long story short and many days later I figured out that the brake switch was WAY out of adjustment. and its PITA to get positioned in my car to adjust it. Once it adjusted it changed EVERYTHING... My key goes into the locked position without bypassing the lock cylinder with a little piece of metal I made for it until I could change the lock cylinder. Why on earth would the brake sensor have anything to do with the key? whoknows.

I shoved the PVC all the way up that accordion so it doesn't even use the accordion part, just the angle.

So when I bought the car I put on a new rack, wheel bearings, ect.. well when I had it aligned they never got the wheel straight and charged me for a 4 wheel alignment and clearly never got close to factory standards.. If I let the wheel go on a straight road it'd still wonder...

So I took it to a more trustworthy place and here is the results:
Pretty bad if I do say so myself, Maybe not terrible but some unnecessary tire wear was definitely going on.

The nice gentleman gave me an honest opinion on my car (which has 200k on the clock)

Said the struts are in good condition and the rack is tight and the car has good (jounce?) lol

He installed adjustable cams? Im very unfamiliar with chassis parts ATM, so hopefully my information is correct.

All I know is the car handles/drives SO much better
