Hi all, While we've had several Grand Prixs in our family I personally never owned one. That is, until a couple of days ago. I came across a 1997 GTP with only 200,000km (~125,000 miles.) It is in decent shape for a 23 year old car, although it will need some fixing here and there. Most of it is minor (not stopping me from driving the vehicle.) The torque out of the SC 3.8 is really noticable when you put the hammer down. I've only ever owned cars from the 1980s, so this is my "upgrade" to bring me into the 1990s! I do have a couple of questions, but perhaps I should figure out which subforum to put them in. It's really hard to find active forums now and FB is such garbage for that purpose.

Welcome to the forums! That's low mileage for a '97, nice score. There is plenty of info here to get it back into shape. Luckily these cars aren't too hard to work on and the parts still exist.

Yeah, that's one of the reason I bought it.

I had a family member who leased the '02 40 year special edition and that was my first experience with the GTP models. We were moving a relative and him and I were sharing driving the big moving truck.

I also knew the person I bought it from, they did maintain it. Their son was driving it until the fuel pump went, so it has a new fuel pump and fuel pump relay. I got it for $1500 here (or $1100 USD.) Even if I have to spend another $500-$1000 it will be a good DD for me and it should be reliable.

I think I did OK considering this is a low mile unmodified GTP.
