I am a truck guy, but I ran across a barn find I could not pass on...1 1991 gtp grand prix 5 speed with 100k miles. It has been sitting in the garage for almost 20 years so the goal for the moment is to see if the engine is locked up etc..

The shifter appears to be unhooked and the brakes may be partially seized...we will see..

Any tips on removing the console/common shifter breakage issues would be appreciated as well as tips for starting safely after years of not running. Anything I should now about these cars to look out for?

    Thanks! and wish me luck.

That's awesome!!! Hope it cleans up nice and you carefully get it all going. Detail that thing as often as possible!

Just take your time, unbolt and remove/check as many things as possible (brakes, trans, fuel sys, electrical, engine, etc.).
