well since I'll be using this forum a bunch for info, might as well introduce myself.
picked up a 04 gtp comp G as a work beater last year, and well me being me, can't leave anything alone.

car need some work (picked up for 1500 with 148k on it)

so far I've changed the suspension (zzp springs, kyb agx shocks)
60lb injectors (had a set laying around from another car) when I got it car had mismatched injectors in it and couldn't go above 50% throttle with out it leaning out....
    3.0 pulley
    ZZP 3" catted down pipe
zzp 2.5" catback (little drony for my taste)
    k&n intake
meth injection (70/30 mix on a 7gph nozzle)
zzp poly trans mount, motor mounts
zzp shortened polished dogbones with poly inserts.
mild tune (running about 16deg timing up top)

thinking about doing the 1.9 rockers, new valve covers etc.

already changed the coolant elbows, new s/c gasket.

need to do the oil pan gasket, but damn what a pain in the ass that is.

bought this to replace my last daily driver (730whp 2006 cobalt ss) .... yeah that number is correct...

so far car's been pretty good, now at 176k miles with a 120 mile a day commute.

have the usual abs/traction control/brake light on though.
already replaced the hubs all around since they were shot anyway.... .but lights still on.
rang out the harness and all looks good. bad replacement hub?

Nice build! I also need to do the oil pan gasket, sounds fun... I just thought I'd mention this. I also had a traction control light issue, but a bit different. My light came on after going faster than 70 something mph. I tuned my car 4 years ago with dhp. Lost my tuner somehow shortly after I just had a half decent tune. Fast forward 4 years and I bought hp tuners to fix some issues. Car wasn't a daily driver so I learned to live with the issues. Anyways, after tuning my transmission with bluecats transmission spreadsheet I haven't saw that traction light since.

Just wanted to mention that because, apparently, if you have something screwed up in the transmission tune, specifically shift points and tcc settings, you can throw the light. Also the bluecats settings made my shift much more intuitively. I used to have many issues when I tried to throttle out of a cruise where the tcc wouldn't unlock smoothly and I'd get KR, so I tried to fix it back then but apparently whacked out some table and didn't realize the reason till now.

Something to think about if you have any doubts about your transmission tune.

thanks for the info, but unfortunately it's not that.. it used to be intermitent when I first bought the car, I have a feeling the cheap rear hubs I bought are the issue since the lights have been on all the time since that.

definitely a fun highway car though.

on top of it, my ac compressor crapped out, well the clutch did at least. just another thing to fix lol.

next up is new fuel pump and E85 since I'm still fighting off doing an IC. figure with that, meth (up to a 10gph nozzle) I can possibly get away with the 2.85 pulley I have lying around

it is nice I can use my leftover cobalt pulleys on this car lol. I have everything from a 2.35-stock 3.8

You should be fine with a 2.85 especially with lower timing. I'm on 3" with 49/51 meth, 21° timing no KR. I have a 2.8 to try soon.

so far been clean on the 3.0 with 16 degrees up top, occasionally get 1-1.5 deg kr once it's heat soaked. (on 93)
figure on E85 I can push to about 19ish on the 2.85 pulley.

I'm series ll and maybe series lll is different but the driver side is the easy one for me. 3, 15mm bolts takes that mount bracket off.

Passenger side has the icm and some other b.s. attached to it making it a pita..ish

Front two bolts are easy, back bolt is behind what looks like the temp sensor (like 3mm of clearance) and the exhaust cross over. car has 177k on it, don't think those bolts on the exhaust are going to want to come out without a fight.

tackling that over the weekend..... with new axles and control arms.

and steering rack crapped out of course and two wheel bearings making noise again.
lesson learned, cheap wheel bearings from amazon are a bad idea lol.
timpkins for all 4 sitting in the house along with a new rack.
now just need a warmish day with no rain and I"ll knock it out.

new control arms, bushings, zzp sway bar and axles are in along with the new stereo system (yes I"m still young at heart haha)

feels weird driving my truck everyday, but at least it isn't slow (2016 f150 3.5 ecoboost on a race tune, 93 octane with twin intakes and catch can setup, @20 psi)

eh I've done worse on my own.
few hours and I"ll be good.
I"m used to swapping motors and transmissions in my driveway for 20 plus years.... this isn't too bad.

just sucks waiting on the weather to cooperate, hate using my truck as a daily.

I've still have been daily driving the car, but now with some downtime, replaced the steering rack, new outer tie rods, ZZP rear trailing arms and sway bar installed.
just gotta fix the alignment this weekend as I apparently suck at taking measurements, but it's back on the ground in one piece so good enough

on a side note, I had the ZZP belt wrap kit on the car a few months, driving home from work a few weeks ago heard a loud bang and no more sc whine.
pull over to look, belt is shredded and the solid metal pulley that is on the wrap kit apparently blew apart. (all that was left is the inner bearing race.....)
so removed that and running a shorter belt for now.
debating on throwing on the 2.8 pulley I have laying around since I"m bored.

If you are looking for votes on the pulley, I vote yes. Suspension replacement without an alignment is a dark art.
