    On an intercooler which requires a valve cover breather the intercooler does not have the front PCV drilled, the back hole is drilled. This is because the intercooler core is to big and in the way. If you are using a stock L67 throttle body there is no port to connect you metered air supply to your front vale cover for full PCV operation.

    The following pictures show how to tap into the throttle body and connect vacuum line from front valve cover to throttle body.

    Tools
    1. Drill
    2. Drill bits
    3. 1/8 npt tap


    Top of stock throttle body


    PCV port is on the upper right


    Brass plug we are going to drill out


    Plug drilled out


    Tap the hole with 1/8 npt tap. Blow out all the chips and screw in fitting.


    Picture showing my front valve cover extension and hose connecting to my northstar throttle body. You would connect to port you just drilled and tapped.

    **Note for L32 throttle bodies**
    You do not need to drill the throttle body. Cap nipple on back of Gen 5 supercharger pointing straight up (it won't pass through Intercooler) and connect that hose instead to front valve cover. The stock l32 manifold will need the 1/4 hole drilled in back. You will not have to do anything to throttle body. PCV will be fully functional.

    I have this and was thinking about putting a in-line PCV valve on that line. That way you don't have just contentious flow. Only reason I was thinking about this is because I read some place that people who did this were having issues with boost and blowing the rear main seal.

    nice, if you have a gen V wouldnt you have to use that spot for a hose to the back of the blower?

    00 mopar product with small motor should have 15/32's on motor side, spring loaded valve, 3/8ths TB side.

    Works well with a 1/2 fitting on the filler neck.

    Use a series III oil filler neck.

    its taller, reduces chance of picking up oil.

    That would be for stock PCV.

    This setup assumes your front PCV is blocked by the intercooler. Thus you'd still need to tap the valve cover.

    Thanks! I was looking around and just going to take a guess at what PCV would possibly work. I have it hooked up to a series II oil neck but I might have to try the series III. Oil gets way to close to the fitting but I did look and it wasn't getting into the line. It probably could in the future though.

    Metered air flows from the throttle body into the front valve cover providing fresh air to the engine crankcase.

    Air is sucked out of the engine crankcase on the back port of the lower intake manifold.

    WBS/ZZP and my intercooler are drilled to connect this port to the PCV valve in the supercharger.

    You can damage the front crank seal if you don't run a valve cover breather or have this modification. If you do this modification there is no way for the crankcase to build vacuum, the crankcase is vented through the throttle body.

    Gen 5 superchargers have a nipple sticking up on the back side of the supercharger. this nipple actually connects through the supercharger case to the front side of the supercharger and is the fresh air source from the throttle body. You can use this nipple if you do not have an intercooler. My intercoolers can not be drilled on the front, the core is to big. The procedure shown replaces this back nipple and porting through the supercharger.

    sseilmnop: With your UIM and IC, what would one have to do with an L32?
    Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
    Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
    Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

    My understanding has been that to build vacuum for postitive crankcase venting, you'd want to connect to the TB after the throttle plate. Which in most cases means drilling out the second vacuum port that should be plugged right below the evap port on the radiator side of the TB.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    Resulted in less vacuum than my breather.

    So what about this scenario. Gen5 n* and a IC with the tiny groove for front pcv function

    Simply run the port in the rear of the gen5 to the port on the n* and that's it? It's that simple? I have slight vacuum when I open my oil cap.

    ZZP's tiny groove LIM and intercooler (or no intercooler ) you connect port on back of gen 5 to the nipple on the N*. If your intercooler is not drilled in front like mine and WBS connect front valve cover to nipple on N*.

    Okay, so with the L32 LIM, tap the front valve cover. How should the other end of the hose connect if you have a stock throttlebody, though? Wait... would this be replacing the tube that pokes into the corrugated rubber that leads to the filter?

    Front valve cover needs connected in-between the MAF and the throttle body. I have never seen a stock l32 throttle body but I assume the nipple on the back of the gen 5 supercharger connected to a nipple on the l32 throttle body. There was no connection through the supercharger like the gen 3's.

    Yes, if that plastic line goes back to the nipple on the back of gen 5 supercharger. Looks like the throttle body is on top of picture and MAF is on the bottom, that is where you want to connect.

    The air flows into the front valve cover and is sucked up through the Intercooler and into supercharger under the PVC valve. Note the PVC valve is in supercharger under black cover plate. There is no need for a oil catch can on the front hose and no place to put one inline on the rear port. This setup won't suck in more oil then the factory setup, if anything it will suck less.

    So I have a Gen V, L32, L67 TB, L67 EVAP, and older WBS IC. So if I do the mod in this thread that gets the front running properly but not the back. All I have on the back is a breather off the SC nipple. What would I need to do to get the rear PCV working also?
