Out of curiosity, how much more or less power would one expect a modded N/A L26 to have compared to an L32 or L67, if those mods were: FWI, HV3, ER rockers (with supporting valvetrain mods), a 3" DP with high flow cat, and a tune from Overkill? Bot at the crank and the wheels. Would one expect the N/A or the supercharged to be quicker? The tune would include raised shifts points of course.

This is just out of curiosity since I'll be adding the rockers and tune in the summer just for some extra pep. And for those curious/confused as to why I haven't top swapped, it's because this is my DD, and I plan to pick up a second car in a few years to make my "fast" car, possibly an LS2 goat or similar.

The GP is loaded with subs, speakers, amplifiers, an extra battery, and is going to be getting a 3,500 watt build down the road (I've only got 1,400W RMS as of now), so it just doesn't seem practical to make fast. I just aim to make it less painfully slow.

You might hit 180-190 wheel hp with those mods.

I made 202 bone stock with my 00 GTP.

HP is just a number. I'd imagine in the 175-190 ish range all tuned right and such.

Do stuff that makes you faster, don't necessarily aim for a peak HP goal.

So probably a bit slower than a stock GTP. You're very right about peak HP, that's what convinced me to put on some L76 valve springs when I do the rockers, just to ensure there's zero valve float at higher RPM's. That way I can have Will safely raise the shift points to 6K which should help keep me in the powerband throughout shifts, since I hear the engines like to rev 1-200 RPM higher than what they're tuned for.

I wish I had the money for an HP Tuner and a wideband to do it myself, because I've read a metric **** ton on here and other forums about tuning these engines. But if I had that kind of cash I'd be doing a real build ;D

    I appreciate the input guys!
