I dont have any emissions testing here. You can have the codes tuned out and not have to worry about it.

    OBDII check?

If so, could you not simply turn the codes off? The OBD readiness will jump to "READY" if you do.

jersey stopped doing the sniff test, but does the obd2 scan and a visual exhaust inspection for the car, they put these nice cameras in the floor as the car drives over it the tech can see the monitor. and its full color!

they also test the gas cap.

and its every 2 years as well now.

Simulator will kill the SES light but only screw with the cat diagnostics in the PCM if it is an '01-'08 car.

'97-'00 you can use the sim and it works.

Otherwise, get a fake cat from frozen boost.

I removed mine on my 99... no codes besides switching once a week. Best way is to tune it out, but if you have to pass a visual inspection get the headers for now and save for a high flow cat. Looks proper but flows much better and most of them won't set off a code when used. They are a little costly tho, but the biggest thing is how are the inspections done in your area?

I gutted the factory cat, welded a through pipe, and installed a simulator. Although we have no testing, it will still pass visual and OBD tests. A note, whatever the cat is made of, it's a pain to weld.

Should be either stainless or aluminized steel. Don't know why it's a problem?
