I have an 07 GXP that has developed an issue. The temperature sensor (outside air) will read below freezing when it is far above freezing. When this occurs it the car will not kick on the AC compressor - no cold air! Has anyone else run into this?

Go to the dealer and buy a new sensor.

Its the only place that sells them as far as I know.
