    hub bolts=1/2"
Fronts are, rears are different... I did one of my rears yesterday and it was 10mm(not 3/8's) for the hub with like maybe a t25(?) to get the ebrake junk off to get it out

Oh and add that the egr hose bolts are 3/8's too, cause I rounded one off on the exhaust manifold of a buddies car the other day using a 10mm and some brute force. Oh how I loved drilling that one out...

This thread was my idea, Nick just provided the information.

Typically where you see 13mm above, 1/2" will fit better.

Never stripped one on my many builds, just use good sockets and you will be fine.

Truth. Although even a good Snappy 6 pointer can occasionally round out some of the bolts. Not often though. Oh yeah..and Nick. Having air keeps the hand ratchet from twisting off the bolt head. Most won't have air.

I absolutely don't know what I did before the 3/8" ingersol titanium came into my life.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

My son just bought a 1997 Grand Prix GTP. What is the size of the Valve cover bolts? There is one missing on the front cover, and the threads are stripped. I want to use a Helicoil to fix it, but I need to know what size I need. It's a great car otherwise. Thank you for the help

The bolt itself is 1" long from tip to the bottom of the flange and is a 3/8" head. It has a non removable (as far as I can tell) metal washer and stem that hold the rubber grommet on it. It is a 1/4" shank with a 1/4"x20 thread.

Thank you for the information. I went to the junk yard and picked one up for $1.75. It went on and has stayed on tight for two weeks now, no oil leak either

Not sure if anyone mentioned it but seat bolts are T50 and not T60.

I may be confusing myself here.

but the cv just slides into the transmission, its not bolted in.

yes it its held onto the shaft with a c-clip. just use a pry bar and push on the back of the axle, rotate and try again if it doesnt pop right out.
