I'm just wondering if this swap will work, what I will need to change other than the motor and trans that I'm getting(computer, wire harness, cooling lines, radiator, engine/tranny mounts?) I'm new to this site, and haven't figured out how to navigate everything. I'm probably in the wrong section for this question, and if so I apologize. Just tell me what I need to search or what section I should post this question. Thank you to all. Also the newer motor and tranny combo are from a wrecked car and have 20,000 miles on them. Mine has 227,000. Still running good, just thought a 200,000 mile reduction on engine and tranny mileage would a good thing. Any help would be great. Thanks, Mark

Wrap them up in some pallet wrap untill your stuff breaks. GT or GTP? I would just swap out the long blocks (heads down) and rebuild your trans if I were to do the swap.

It's just and se. The thing is that it's my wife's car. I'm trying to minimize downtime. The torque converter has already not been locking in to overdrive for about the last 50000 miles, and she still averages 25mpg. If I can get everything together, and figure out the things I'll need to change, I should be able to do this swap in a weekend if it works. thanks for the advice, and that's something that I might end up doing. but I don't want her stuck somewhere on the road if I can help it.
