Anyone done a RWD conversion or seen a GTP with one? Wondering what all would be involved. I'm guessing since there's not a ton about it on the forum, its prob not a fun job to do, but never hurts to consider
04 GTP - FOTB, Intense PCM, 180* Thermo, SLP Headers, 3.4" ZZP Modular Pulley, Moroso Race Wires, 104 Plugs, TEP trans: 3.29's, Thrasher shift kit. Soon to come: 13 inch dual piston brakes, rims and tires, wideband tune by PRJ.

There is a writeup of a guy doing one on FTV6. He has been at it for a couple years now. Basically you have to create a mount for the rear end, make a tunnel for the DS and mount the engine into the car.

Basically if you want a V6 that is rwd, buy an F body and if you want one with some power and four seats, buy a GTO.
    Engineering the impossible.

Dude, F-body's have four seats too. No mention of the RWD G8? (comes in V6 and V8)

I would venture to guess that it wouldn't be fun...but anything is doable... all you need is time and money...

here, there is a thread on clubgp that has been running forever:

    ClubGP Message Forum troubleshooting

all i have to say is good ****ing luck. youre better off just buying another car unless youre absolutely in love with how a grand prix looks. if that is the case then youre mental.

Yea, Have you ever sat in those seats?

Anything is doable, but i dont think that this is a cost effective project.

Yeah, I had a camaro in high school and college... had people back there alll the time. Even took 3 other people on a few road trips...

I sat in the GTO rear seats at the dealer, but not while it was driving... not sure there was much more room in there than the f-body's...it's been a while though.

    Flash,

Sorry to jack your thread with seats. However, I was looking at some other threads and stumbled upon a clubGP video on youtube that has a couple RWD GPs in it. It is a collage of videos, so there's no specs, just a bunch of racing vids. So there's hope!!!
