What car do you think would be better for a 17 year old. Also are stock GTPs fast or does it need to be modded?

P.S If I get the GTP I am definately modding it.

I drove a Lincoln ls before, it was decently quick and the turning radius was very impressive but, my N.A GT with my cheap cost effective mods would smoke a LS v8. These Grand prix's have major potential whether you want a 9 sec drag car or a fun 10-13 second daily driver.

Wow, I would have loved either at the age of 17. The Lincoln is probably the safer choice for a 17 year old. It is quick, pushing close to a 15-flat, and really has an amazing suspension for what it is. It can be put into the mid-14's pretty easily, and then you start getting custom and expensive. However, that is more than fast enough, especially for that age. Plus, the Lincoln will have more luxury options, and "impress" classmates more than a GM.

Of the LS? Everyone has different tastes, but I think it sounds a little sexy and a little exotic...but remember it will be quiet. You can give it a little more growl with a new exhaust, and I know a few guys that have done that; it sounds pretty good.

Once you start modding them, it gets raspy. But you will fall in love with the supercharger whine.

Pick the lincoln if you dont plan on modding and want more of a luxury car, but if you want to go fast and have plenty of aftermarket parts available pick the gtp.

I would steer AWAY from the Lincoln LS. the front ball joints go out. when they do. you have to replace the enitre arm with a factory arm... no one has an aftermarket one. dealership cost... over 700bucks...

Nope, that is the first generation of them. He is referring to a 2004, which is the second year of the second generation, where pretty much all of the issues had been ironed out.

That's a tough one because they are both great cars. But I fell in love with the LS when it came out... it's a luxury/sport car so if that what u like then go for it
