    Has anyone had good luck with proper function. I have them in the car, followed instruction for led placement, my dim lights are absolutely phenomenal, I can actually see the road, but, when I click over to high beams, complete trash.

    I’m thinking it’s the housings, I switched back to a silverstar halogen bulb, dims are good, what you would expect stock, but brights are trash. Any thoughts? I’d like to say yeah, it’s the housings, let’s do new housings, but don’t want to just blow money on them if that isn’t the issue. I’ve cleaned/polished the housings, they look alright, not flawless, but not trash.

    At a bit of a loss.

    it's the housings for sure. the quality of the reflectors is marginal. and if the filament is not in the exact right position and orientation the intensity washes out.

    That’s what I figured. The diodes are positioned to exactly what they recommend. Guess it’s time for new housings.

    It's the design of the housings in these cars not your actual housings per se...unless your lenses are clouded over. If you have the stock style aftermarket housings its even worse. The main idea is that your low beams are great & the highs are just there to flash people or to pass inspection. I have retrofitted tsx projectors in mine & never looked back

    I’m so sorry I forgot to update my findings on this! My apologies!

    I played with adjustment quite a bit. It does take a lot of trial and error. I guess it was good that I’m at work on graves and all alone. I adjust before leaving the house, observed where lights were on the 45 minute drive, adjust when I get to work, drive home observing again. It took the better part of a week to get just right, but now I have good low beams and excellent high beams.

    So, my advice to anyone looking to upgrade their headlight bulbs to something a bit brighter, the ZZP bulbs work great, but know that other than bulb position in housing, you will need to follow up with housing adjustments for fine tuning.

    I installed these lat week. I noticed a few things
    - flash to pass with lights off turns on the highs and fog lamps.
    - flash to pass with fogs-only (switch in parking lamp position) lights the high beams and turns off the fogs
    - did you have any issue with hi beam indicator in the HUD flickering

    Yes I did. The first time they were in, the hud would show bright, sometimes. Also, if you use peripheral vision to look at the actual bright indicator on the gauges, it’s faintly lit when on low beam. For some strange reason, it doesn’t do any of that anymore.

    As per flashing, when highs are on, fogs should shut off, they SHOULD only work with low beams.

    On the flash to pass weirdness, when “off”, you are in auto lighting, when on parking lamp, you have cancelled auto. So that would explain the weirdness. Just my thoughts on that. I’ll check tonight when I head to work in a bit.

    So I realize that this is my 1st post, but I felt obligated to chime in with my .02, as I just went through this same thing. It seemed to me that the "low" and "high" beams were reversed, and I had heard of such things happening with other LED options. the solution for me was to reverse the pins on the connection for high and low beam. this couldn't be done on the bulb side because of the way the harness is sealed, but on the vehicle side, I was able to pop out the 2 outermost pins on the car's 9007 connector for either headlight & swap them (see crude diagram- (1)(2)(3)==>(3)(2)(1) ). Now, assuming the bulb is alligned in the housing properly, the low beam is the low beam, and the high beam is the high beam. no weird issues with the high beam indicator, and appropriately bright on both settings!

    I posted a reply already, but it disappeared...
    1) make sure the chips are lined up properly in the housing
    2) the bulbs that I got were essentially wired backwards, so high=low & low= high. I was able to remedy this by swapping the 2 outermost pins on the car-side 9007 connector, as one is high- beam and one is low beam. just pop the pins out & switch sides
    (crude diagram- (1)(2)(3)==>(3)(2)(1) ). the middle wire stays where it is, as that's ground.
    -After I did those 2 things, everything works like it should, when it should.

    I tried to post this weeks ago, hopefully someone will find use of it still- When I got mine and installed them, they were brighter when they should have been on low beam than they were when they should have been on high beam. I recalled reading with other vehicles that sometimes led bulbs could be wired "backwards", so I did a little experimenting. I had an extra headlight jumper harness, so I figured out what was the high v/s low beam pin and swapped them, plugged it in, and tried again. Lo and behold, appropriate brightness and function with no indicator weirdness! I re- pinned the harness on the other side, and put everything back together, and a month or so in, no issues at all. If someone else wants to do this, all you have to do is pop out the outermost pins on the 9007 connector and switch sides in the socket. I can only assume this isn't necessary with all of the ZZP led's, and is likely a QC issue with whoever they have manufacture the bulbs.
