First of all i'm not new to this site. I went by cbwhite until they switched over. I tried to get my old handle back but no matter what i did it just didn't work out. So here's my story my car is very difficult to start when the engine is cold/cool even in the middle of august. It's not fuel related. I put in a new fuel pump; filter and pressure regulator. I eventually took it to a shop and they said it was the module. First of all i should have mentioned it wouldn't start at all at one time. Changed the module and it started but i have to crank it & crank it & crank it before it'll start. It also has a fully charged brand new battery. I just can't figure it out. I have a scan gauge and it's not misfiring. I mean it'll show a few at idle but that's about it.

How do you know it’s not fuel related? You can get a bad pump or filter or regulator out of the box. You really gotta check and see the fuel pressure at key on and maybe while cranking.

Does it run good once it’s started? Or is it choppy? Any stalling out? Large vacuum leaks can make it really hard to start, even with good fuel and spark.. but it’ll probably run rough with a leak that big or stall.

Did you check for spark? There’s a bunch of different parts that could cause intermittent no-start from lack of spark.

    Any OBD codes?

Believe me man, it's not fuel related. I've had this car for over 15 years. When it breaks 95% of the time i can fix it myself. It runs great once it's started. No misfires no nothing. I push down on the shrader valve (or whatever it's called) with key on and fuel comes shooting out as fast as it should. Not only that but the guys at the shop said it was the module. At first i didn't believe them so i put an old module back on and sure enough it wouldn't start. It would crank but it wouldn't start. I just can't figure this one out. That's what puzzles me. It won't start at all with a bad module, but with a new one it'll start but it takes forever.

what module we talking about here? the icm under the coil packs? its harness from the icm, to the crank and cam sensors does fail. might want to check that out.

year, model, engine, and miles on it?

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

Coil packs. 2000 gtp; 184k What's the most efficient way to check the harness ? Also if it's the harness it shoudn't start at all right ? I mean if there's a bad wire.
