    02 grand prix gt. 197k

I believe the ses light is burned out because it never turns on even at initial startup/turning key over. I was able to hook up a scanner and got a code for the light malfunctioning and pulled a map code.

Anyways, does anyone know which bulb is for the ses, and what type I can use?

I'd like to order a new bulb online somewhere.

In order to replace the bulb, you will need to remove the gauge cluster. The ses bulb is a common 194.

My SES light was burnt out when I bought the car. I blame the PO though. LOL

As mentioned, the bulb is a 194, and here is the location on the front of the cluster.....

And I believe this is the location on the rear of the cluster.....

Burned bulb is correct, I havn't replaced one, but I would just find a gauage cluster thats close to your milage, but I am a lazy SOB. I almost removed the bulb on one of my cars because SES would always come and go, and it was just a generic misfire, no reason, car wasn't misfiring as I could tell, but just a stupid light that would come and go for no apparent reason, car would drive just fine.

I'm looking at the back of the cluster off my 02 and Bronco's pic (the red circle) shows the correct location. But its not a 194. It is a bayonet type bulb but very small and in a special socket. The warning lamps are smaller than the illumination lamps which I have bought before. I suggest taking the bulb out and taking it to a local parts store, that what I did when one of the larger bulbs went out. The socket came with the bulb. It wasn't a problem then, but your experience may vary.
