I wish I could, but insurance wants it in running, driving condition because that's how it was after the accident.

Had a first for me today. Managed to get a flat tire sitting still in traffic. Coming home my highway necks down to one lane each way so everyone was sitting still as usual. Moved about 100ft. when it started to open up and heard the right rear tire moaning. Pulled off on the last bit of shoulder wide enough to fit a car before the lanes merged and found it sitting on the rim. Good news is I can still change a flat in 10 min., lol.. Really wanted to get out of there as during rush hour that spot is known to have accidents since idiots don't realize traffic is stopped and come flying down the other lane and try to pull off on the shoulder to avoid hitting the cars in front of them which is right where I was sitting.

Looking at the tire I don't see anything obvious that would cause it to drop pressure that fast. The only thing I found was a small 1/4" cut dead center in the middle of the tire but doesn't appear to be a puncture??? Dunno, I'll let the guys at Plaza Tire figure it out. Hopefully my less than 8K mi. Conti isn't junk.

I changed the oil in the Chrysler, it had been a few thousand miles and the monitoring system wouldn't shut up...

The oil wasn't as dirty as I expected, but it was still a dark reddish-brown.

Got the tire back. They were able to fix it. Apparently drove something through the thick part of the tread and threw it out. Not gonna complain.

Took advantage of the nice weather over the weekend and washed the GP and Bonne on Sat, then gave them both an oil change on Sun.

Good that the tire wasn't a complete loss, I had a bit of a "holy sh1t!" moment when I swapped the tires off the pre-gens onto the steelies.

I noticed 2-3 chunks missing out of the inner bead section on two tires, and a 8" split along the inner edge of a third tire...

Glad that they held together for as long as they did, and that they won't be going back on the highway again.

Holy cow, an 8" spilt? What brand/model tire was that? Want to make sure I avoid those, lol. I've seen a chunk or 2 missing before but never a split like that. That's a fender/quarter beating waiting to happen.

It was Goodyear, the Viva 3 all season tires... They were almost 2 years old, had maybe 7k miles on them.

Our 3.5 L benz take 8.5-9 qts. I figure thats how everyone is going to 10k oil changes by using 8+ qts of synthetic.

The 3.6L in the 200 takes 5.5 quarts... But it did yell at me to change it after only 5,000 miles. Although that 5,000 miles was put on the car in less than two weeks... That might have something to do with it.

Had to drive the GP through all this snow bullsh*t mess that's been around since last Friday. Liking the new Continental rear tires. Really need to get the matching set up front but still goes good.

I will say that shoveling 10"+ of wet snow from a large driveway sucks. Not to mention the extra that I pulled off the roof of the garage to make sure there weren't any "structural issues" as one side needs to be redone and wasn't sure if it would hold all that weight.

I can clear 10" from my 1,500 sq ft driveway in a half hour.

Yea, that's exactly what I was thinking of. I really need to tear that bay off the garage and rebuild it properly. Prev. owner did me no favors. On the plus side I plan on making it taller so I can get at least a 10' tall door on it.

cheatah- you suck, lol.. You must have a snowblower or something. My driveway is roughly the same size and I spent the better part of 7.5 hours on everything. I'm seriously considering getting a small tractor with a blade or a bucket. Really don't want to spend the money on one until I finish the car but this one made me seriously reconsider it, especially after the county plow piled up at least 20" at the end of the driveway. Living in a rural area I'm at least lucky that they run a plow through once in a while so I guess I can't ***** too much, but my shoulders/arms still are.

That's all we get here, wet and heavy snow. Back-breaker!

I think once last year it was light fluffy snow. Such a treat. LOL

I'm just glad I don't have to deal with hard pack anymore... I'l take wet and heavy snow over having to chip at 6" of ice any day.

Replacing the bulbs in my 06's monsoon radio, proving to be a bit more difficult after finding out 12v bulbs won't work in it. I noticed when one bulb goes out, 2 more go out.

Long story short, out of the 17 backlight bulbs, there are 6 individual light circuits. 5 of 3 bulbs in series, and one with 2 in series (and a resistor in place of the remaining voltage) Average voltage at max brightness is battery voltage, so 14.4 ish, and up to 15 on startup. 15/3=5. So I managed to find 5v incandescent mini bulbs online from 1000bulbs.com. It was hard to find a 5v bulb though. Those will arrive by next weekend and hopefully everything goes good.
