Ok..so I found an SD hood locally for seriously cheap...but it has what the seller classifies as "minor damage" to it. I have posted pics below....please give me your opinions on how severe or how minor the damage really appears to be. Thank you.

these are all the pics the seller will provide..he said that is was in a minor front end collision...and has some damage to the corners that is easily repairable.

This is the description of the damages word for word:
    Damages are:
Top layer and botom layor are seperated. (was going to use hood pins and fiberglass glue to re-secure but never got to it.)
top has 4 inch rip at the center
the corners of the hood was damaged but repairable easily
    Thats it for the top
Bottom has damage only at the hood latch. It will need the metal bracket replaced or rebent.
Thats all I could find on the bottom

That will have to be re fiber glassed and shaped. Might be worth it, might be not. What is the asking price?

I'm not familiar with how much fiberglass work runs, but I don't think it would cost as much as buying a new one would?

Problem is that I have zero experience in body work...I do not want to screw up the repair job. BUUTT...seeing as I would only be dropping 50 bucks...if I screw up...I can use my tax money to pick up a new one..and maybe an sd air dam...I plan on using my taxes to get the hood and a paint job at the very least.

There's a ton of info on this internet thingee. Read up, watch videos.. gain some confidence and realize..you'll be sanding a lot if you use too much.

To give you an idea, I thought it was tougher than it was... I built my own hud pod. Here's a link to the album, never read anything but the directions on the stuff. Never looked up any vids. I winged it. If you did the research, I think you can do it.

Thats no minor damage, thats pretty bad and not a real easy fix. But for $50 Id take a shot at it, but I know how to do fiberglass work, not my favorite thing to do though lol
