Hello all! I am new to the forum, well actually I have been a member for some time but this is the first time I am positing. I am on my second Grand Prix. My first was a 1997 GT which I sold about 5 years after buying used 2001 GTP. Anyway, the GTP is suffering from the same problems as my GT had. The car has about 110k miles on it. The rear taillights are very bad. Water is getting in on both of them. I actually tried to seal them up with silicone last winter to prevent water from filling up. That helped slow the water from entering but they are no where near being air tight. My front head lights are starting to go too. Both are really cloudy and the drivers side is starting to leak. I definitely need to do something about the rear ones. I can't see spending an enormous amount of money to replace them from the dealer especially when the parts are poor quality to being with.

Any ideas how to get these replaced without breaking the bank?

    Thanks!

What I did was put a bandaid on a broken arm and it is working.... I drilled three holes in the lights, 2 on the bottom and one on the top. 3 VERY tiny holes, 2 so they can drain, and 1 to let out the humidity... So far, no water build up and I was draining 1-1.5 cups a water at a time...
