I wanted to jazz up my engine area and I thought they would look sharp with some red spark plug wires. However I don’t want to Have to worry about these failing after a year or so. It seems like I can only find a handful of reviews on these not on the ZZP website. I would have to assume a few people on here have had some experience with these...

    Thanks for info

They might be OK, but no need to upgrade coils if you're not having a problem with one.

I flirted with this idea of painting them momentarily but was unsure I could do it without making a mess or it would look good enough. Have you done it?

Nah, but it's all about preparation. Take them off, clean them up, tape over electrodes, set on cardboard and do 2 light coats, maybe clear at the end. Re-install with some di-electric grease on all electrical connections, and enjoy.

I bought some stainless Allen screws & washers for mine, looks nicer than the OEM screws, is all.

I've had my ZZP ignition coils for a couple years and been very happy with them. I feel like the engine is a bit more responsive & smoother running with them, but I can't say anything as far as real gains in power or fuel economy

Nice, I hope to have the same luck if I pull trigger. Is there a better brand out there that offers the color red ?

For the money I would just paint the OEM coils and call it good. Degrease them and spray it in a few light coats. Add some stainless hardware to it and be sure to replace any conductive grease that was under them and call it a day. I see no reason to spend the coin on "performance coils" while it's been known that the stock ones perform just fine if not better than aftermarket ones. Plenty of the fast cars on here run stock coils. I get the idea of wanting some color under the hood but I'm not going to sacrifice actual performance just for looks.

Msd is the only other one (if they still make them). They are a little better than the grey tab L36 coils, but not as strong as the L67 blue tab coils. As far as reliably I’ve heard a lot of mixed things.

    From what I’ve gathered
Zzp coils=L67 blue tab coils>MSD>L36 grey tab coils>anything else

The tabs I keep referring to are on the bottoms of the factory coils. Now if you have the L32 I believe those use the same grey tab coils as the n/a engines. If you already have a good set of blue tab coils I would just spray them with high temp paint

Zzp's do test at a higher voltage than the stock l67's. They are having issues with durability in a few cases though.

Weren't the MSD's the ones that had major issues with causing random misfires?
