Or rather pipes. Going after work to get it all welded up. I was going to run resonated tips, but decided on a single 2.5” slash cut tip. We’ll see how she looks after it’s done. I know it will sound good, hopefully the look is good. If not, cut and install a different tip. I head there about 1530, so hopefully the shop can get it welded and done by 1700. I’ll definitely post pics and a vid if Tapatalk let’s me.

I didn't know you cammed the SS. Sounds sick. What kind of gains, beside that lovely sound, do you get from cam/headers?

I think it sounds great. I listened to a lot of YouTube samples, various mufflers, systems, but I kept coming back to muffler delete with resonator still on. There’s really no raspiness. I had a buddy run it by me so I could hear it, it gets quiet in the upper rpm range.

Hmm, must say I'm surprised it sounded that good. Does it drone on the highway?

A little bit. It’s at certain speeds. 50-65, once around 70 it’s gone. The drone is mostly in the lower rpm range. I was going to do more to her this weekend, but, brakes didn’t arrive, tires didn’t arrive, struts didn’t arrive. Ugh. So here I sit at a buddies business fixing one of his chainsaws.

funny but two stoke engines suffer from KR and break or melt pistons often. seen the tops smashed in a lot on the repair guys/sales counter.

need to run 93 octane in em to fight the knock off.

Unfortunately commiefornia, at least in our area, best is 91. Got the motor back together, feeling tired, I think I’m done. Need some more parts for this thing anyways.

So many parts that are just shot. But, it was his fathers saw for a very long time, so it’s sentimental. At this point it’s going to be a pretty decent saw. Upping it to the 390 specs, fully stripped and everything cleaned. Wish I could slap an obr pipe on it. Lol!

The tips are too small for the opening if you ask me. Need like 4in at a minimum to fill them up.

I know what you’re saying, but, don’t want to look to fart cannish, and I still have the OEM tips, also, with just the OEM tips, I would scratch them at work and in my driveway. The driveway I could make it a very small hit, but at work, that’s a big no. Coming through the gate arms, there is no room to go on angle around the speed bumps. I could use the delivery truck entrance, but would have to ask security to go unlock it.

On another note, does anyone have a pic of their cv angle? I just got to see mine the other day while it was on the lift, and there is no way it should be as bad as it is. They are inverted it’s so low. I do believe I will be going back to stock height for sure.
