I haven't seen anything about this elsewhere on the forum, but once the year changed to 2020 my car computer doesn't have the correct day anymore. It sets day of week to one day ahead of the date. It's a minor problem but a couple of times I've looked up and said oh ****, what happened to wednesday? or whatever the day is. I don't suppose there's a fix without a tuner.

There is, of course, always the option of getting another DIC off eBay, swapping it out, and seeing if that fixes the problem. $50 is a lot less than a tune.

A tuner can't change a body function like this.

Could be an issue with the DIC itself and swapping it with another would be a test but remember that the mileage is stored in the DIC. So it would need to be reprogrammed to match the current mileage.

It's the first I've heard of this issue as well, so I'm really not sure what to say about it.

I've seen them at the junkyard before but never bothered removing it since mine has always worked fine until this little issue this year. Oh well, it's not a big deal, just annoying being 1 day ahead. I'd be shocked if I were the only one having this problem. Of course this is a leap year so it's possible the issue will correct itself at the end of the month but I'm not holding my breath.

Mine goes back to the ---- ------ blank status everytime the car is shut off, never took the time to figure out why as all the other functionality works fine so I just keep it on the mileage.

Mine only does that when I unplug the stereo fuse so that I can start the car after the battery goes dead from leaving the fan jumper on by accident so that it doesn't overheat because the fans are set to come on at 225 or some such crap at which point it's way too hot, and I don't have a tuner, so I rigged a manual switch for the fans. Anyway 4 more days and we'll find out if it's a leap year glitch.

have had my battery disconnected and reconnected over the last few days chasing and clearing codes and now my day is correct again...thought maybe I saw an option on the menu to elect the day also, not just the date? hell,
I dont know but display is correct now.

I've never seen an option to select just the day, and my battery does go completely dead about once a week when I leave something on accidentally. It could be a leap year glitch but did not correct itself on March 1. Car has gone senile I think. 4 more years and it's an antique.

Short term solution: I set my year to 2026 and it landed on the correct day. It took some trial and error because I tried a number of different years. So now I'm living in 2026 and all is good. Coronavirus is gone, flu still exists but I'm immune to both. I live on. Here's to Corona beer!
