I bought a 3" downpipe for my car, and the current flange connection between the cat and the back exhaust is a rusted mess.

Is there a flange I could purchase to match up by simply cutting off the section? I was not looking to completely replacing cat back at this point.....

only place i was able to buy just a flange was from a muffler shop, it was 10 bucks, gaskets 8, so its a deal really.

I was digging on Amazon, and I found a 2.5" flange I could use along with a 2.5" Butt Joint band clamp. Looks like it should do the job.

be best to weld it on the pipe if you can, or cut it back to un rooted pipe add some pipe. that whole pipe area moves a lot, why welding tends to be best.
