    Hello Forum

I'll get right to the chase, my 2 rears speakers blew and I am not getting audio from both of them, so I decided that I want to change all speakers and the headunit in the car.

My question, do I have to do any trimming to the stock speaker locations?

I would like it to be, the most plug-in, it can be, just remove the factory ones and connect the new ones obviously soldering new tips to the cables not make things to easy, if there is I'd like to know

If you guys have recommendations of speakers and an amplifer that would be great, I was browsing crutchfield and I found the head unit I want, I'm more curious about which speakers to buy that will install perfectly with no issues.

Almost any 6x9s fit the rear with zero trimming or modification, the fronts are practically the same for 5 1/4" speakers. Both the front and rear speakers have blade terminals on them.

So 6-1/2" front speakers can be an Issue?

You'll have to trim some plastic to get them to fit, but that's the only issue you'll have with them.

Not sure if the 04+ has the same type of deck lid in the rear as the 97-03, but if it does, the height of the speakers is an issue. I used Crutchfield's site to find out what would fit height wise.
