Does anyone know a reputable place where I can get a new ignition/door key plus key fob (for a 2008 grand prix)? I went to the dealer by me and they were useless. A few months back my son with his newly gotten drivers license lost the key and then when it was found after hours of searching, turns out it had been run over by a few cars on the road. The key still turns the ignition but wont open my door. Plus my fob never worked from the get go as I got the car used. I hate not being able to lock my doors.
    Thanks
    John

home depot sells car keys. ebay sells fobs but iirc your year needs a dealer to program it.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

Yeah, you still need a dealership to program the remotes and the keys must be PK3 style for the security system.

    Try another dealer.

Or you were asking the wrong questions at the GM dealer because ANY GM dealer and I mean ANY of them can make you a new key and program your remote with the VIN number and a TECH 2 shop tool. If they said they couldn't they shouldn't be working on cars.
