Just purchased a 1998 Grand Prix. Spent 2 days researching and cannot find a good answer.
Dashboard gauges (speed, odometer, temperature...etc) are working intermittently.
I assume this means it is not a fuse problem. I live in Phoenix and they worked the last 2 days only after sitting in the driveway in 95-100+ temps.
    Coincidence?

Any help solving the mystery would be appreciated. I am not tech savvy and don't want to pour a lot of money into this but am looking for a reasonable explanation.
    Thanks.

sounds like a bad ground on the tranny bell housing stud, its on the rad side of the engine, if you cant find it follow the neg bat cable, it also goes there. theres one or two more smaller grounds there, the nut could be loose, the stud can corrode, or the wire could be breaking off the eyelet.

or, the battery terminals could also be loose, pos or neg side, or corroded up as well.
