Hi everyone. Im new here on this site and I've run into a little jam. My 16yr old son is working on his 1987 Pontiac Grand Prix with the 3.8 v6 at his polytech class in school. He has informed me he needs the intermediate pipe. The only problem is, its no longer available!! Every other part of the exhaust is available but that! WTH GM, Walker and AP??
What has other people done to fix this problem? Im assuming have it custom made.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Did you mean 1997??

The factory exhaust past the cat converter flange is all 1 piece, it's likely why you can't find anything.

If the resonator has rusted away like most do, you can just cut and weld in a new one.

You can pull one off of any 3.8 powered A/G body in the junkyard. Bonneville/Grand Prix/Cutlass/Malibu/El Camino/Monte Carlo/and several others I can't think of right now. Anything from 78-87, pretty much

    Jeff

Also search for G body groups as they will have more information on that body car, or PM me I know them well.
