Yeah.. sold in 3, visited the next day for a evap canister. Won't ever again put a used one on. Not worth it. Just toss a new one on.

I did build a smoke machine though. Works minty.

Bill can send me some pics of the smoke machine, I’m struggling to find the evap leak in my impala.

Brian.. If you haven't replaced the purge canister behind drivers rear wheel, it's worth shot gunning a $15 part on. It's the most common. It's also open and will leak smoke when you test unless the system is commanding it closed.

Here's the one I built. How to Make a DIY Smoke Machine - YouTube I had a small regulator laying around and set it low. Worked well. As I was replacing canister, I connected the smoker to it's hose going into the tank with the gas cap in and the tank expanded with no smoke escaping. This led to be believe it was only the canister. 4 days and all good so far.

Canister was my first step. I’m gen v running gen 3 evap that’s got a breather on the end so it’s unmetered. Going to flip the n* throttle body and use the gen v evap instead.

I was able to run the gen v evap on the gen v with n*. Might have been the adapter I used, but it worked. Also got that GP back again, it was showing gas cap on info center and the only thing failing was weak vacuum test. Swapped the purge valve at engine and presto, it seems better.

My wife’s 06 did the same thing, gas cap light would come on here and there then it stayed on. Replaced the cap and still cane back. Replace the canister and all is good now. Just need to fix the power steering and some other suspension stuff and I can get that back on the road.

My adapter is rather thin which is nice but it’s too close to work without flipping. Had to do it when we put the Intercooled gen v together at your place that first...second time lol.
