So, long story short, I grenaded a rod in my top-swapped 02 MCSS at 72mph in first gear (thought I had put the shifter in 2nd when passing an erratic driver, with my TOG dp gasket blown out and radio cranked to drown out the exhaust drone).
Anyhow, what are the chances the heads aren't damaged... they are L32 heads that were supposed to have been pocket ported when they were rebuilt.
Just curious if anyone has ever broken a rod under boost (in my case, around 8-9#) and not had any compression chamber/valve damage to their heads?
