I will discuss the various Mothers products that I have used.

    California Gold Synthetic Wax -

This is one of the easiest waxes to apply and remove. It is a sealant. I have seen 3-4 months of durability with it. It has some mild cleaners in it so it can remove very light defects. It will darken paints. It is noticeable on black and red. For those that want to save a little more money, Autozone sells the exact same thing in the M Tech line.

    California Gold Micro-Polishing Glaze -

This is Mothers version of a glaze. It's purpose is to fill in defects such as swirls and scratches. It does a good job of it. For those that do things by hand this would be a product to have. Those who do it by machine, I would recommend the pro polish or compound. If using the synthetic wax, it will remove some of the glazing properties due to the cleaning agent in the synthetic wax.

California Gold Natural Formula Pure Carnauba Wax -

This is a very nice wax. For those that like the look of a carnauba then this one is for you. It won't last as long as the synthetic wax but it will give the paint some depth. Looks great on those garage queens. Easy to apply and remove. For those that like to top products, this would work well after first applying California Gold Synthetic Wax. Allow about 12 hours prior to topping the synthetic wax. Topping in theory gives the longevity of a sealant with the look of a carnauba.

    California Gold Spray Wax -

Great spray wax. Use in between washes to maintain the wax of your choice. A little goes a long way. Works very well as a drying aid. For those that want to save a few bucks, pick up the M Tech spray wax at Autozone. It is the same product.

California Gold Showtime Instant Detailer -

Use this to remove light dusts and finger prints. It has a great smell. It can be used as clay lubricant. I believe it has been renamed to Instant Detailer. Showtime has a cinnamon scent to it and it smells great. The same product is available in the M Tech line at Autozone.

    Reflections Advanced Spray Wax -

Another great spray wax. This one is thicker than California Gold Spray Wax. It sprays thick and can be a little trickier to use. I used it with a microfiber towel and varied the amount of spritzes per panel size. A foam applicator also works well. Gives a great shine. I personally liked the look of this one better.

California Gold Water Spot Remover for Glass -

Works good at removing those pesky water spots on the glass. I have to mention that this is only to be used on glass and not paint. It can be used by hand or dual action polisher. I have achieved great results with a polishing pad on a dual action polisher.

Foaming Wheel & Tire Cleaner -

One of my favorite wheel and tire cleaners. Read the direction on what type of wheels this can be used on. Very effective tire cleaner as well. I recommend picking up a tire brush and a wheel brush to give the wheels and tires a thorough cleaning job.

ReVision Glass + Surface Cleaner -

This one is a little harder to find locally. If all else fails order it online. It's a great glass cleaner. It cleans very well. It doesn't streak and it is tint safe. It can also be used on other surfaces.

    Mothers Protectant -

One of my personal favorite interior protectants to use. It lasts about a month. It leaves a matte finish with very little shine. It will darken the interior as well. It can be used on exterior trim as well but it wont last that long as it is a water based product. It is also available in the M Tech line at Autozone for those that want to save a little money.

VLR which stands for Vinyl, Leather, and Rubber -

It is vinyl and rubber cleaner, vinyl and rubber protectant, leather cleaner, and leather conditioner. It's essentially an all in one type product for those that want to spend less time prepping the interior. Use it with a microfiber towel as it has a built in cleaner. I found it to have somewhat of a chemical scent to it. It doesn't last long but it is present. The cleaning ability is decent. I've used it on most parts of the interior other than plastics.

    Plastic Polish -

For those looking for a gentle plastic polish this would be the one to get. I primarily used it on the cluster gauge every so often to polish out the plastic. It does a good job cleaning ad polishing the cluster gauge.

    Leather Wash Foaming Cleaner -

This and the leather cream are my favorite leather products from Mothers. The cleaner has a nice smell to it which makes it pleasant to use. It cleans really well. It's a foam type products. I recommend spraying it on the microfiber towel and then cleaning the area. Follow up with the leather cream.

    Leather Cream -

After cleaning the leather areas follow up with the leather cream. Very good product. Will keep the leather supple if routinely used. I was using it monthly. It gives a nice look and it doesn't give that oily slippery look like armorall. This gives a nice matte finish.

    Professional Paint Restoration System -

Now these two are not available at most local stores. So ordering online would be best. These two products are great. The compound is one of the best. It doesn't dust and it offers good correction. The finishing polish works great as well. Gives great gloss and finishes down very well. The polish is grey in color and it will stain pads. Other than that I highly recommend these two especially those that use a dual action polisher. They rival Meguiar's compound and polish.

Back to Black Heavy Duty Trim Cleaner -

This is a must have. It cleans and preps the plastic trim. It does a great job of it. Highly recommend having this. It is optional to follow with a trim dressing/protectant. I do recommend using one to protect the hard work done to clean and prep the surface.

    Back To Black -

A lot of you are familiar with this product which is used to give plastic trim that black appearance. It's an ok product. It is not the longest lasting product but anything is better than nothing. The longevity of it is increased when prepping the surface with the trim cleaner.

Back to Black Tire Renew -

For those that do any type of rinseless or waterless washing, this would be my recommended product to clean the tires. No need to bring out a hose in order to clean the tires. I primarily use it when I do a rinseless wash every few weeks to reapply a tire dressing of my choice. The directions say to spray and wipe with a microfiber towel. I tend to use a tire brush to give the tires a deeper cleaning and then wipe off. Once you use the towels on the tires I recommend one uses those towels only on tires and not on the paint. They will become your dedicated tire towels. I would also wash them separate from the towels used on paint.
