I've had a few people ask me some questions about my Monte so I thought I'd just lay it all out in a thread. Here's everything that's been done so far engine wise:

    ZZP tuned PCM
    Paxton Novi 1k
    3.4" Pulley
    L67 injectors
    ZZP GT1 cam
    ZZP Stage 2.5 heads
    .690 pushrods
    .045 head gaskets
    105# valve springs
    valve spring retainers
    TOG Headers
    P&P LIM
    Aluminum LIM gaskets
    10.3mm spark plug wires
Autolite 103 spark plugs (.043 gap)
    ZZP Stage 1 T/B
    ZZP W/P UDP
    180* drilled thermostat
    shift kit
custom 2.5" exhaust with no cat
    O2 Emulator
    HV3
    Poly Motor Mounts
    ZZP Race Battery

With this setup, I went to ZZP to have them dyno tune it. We only had one good run with it, and even that didn't go so well. My PCM is set to go up to 6500 rpm but we had to stop the pull at 5500 rpm because the engine was running lean (14:1). At 5500 rpm the L67 injectors were at 110% (which is bad), and the CSC was putting out about 7psi. Whp was still climbing and at that point it had put down 325whp. I have just now bought some 42# injectors and am waiting to go back to the dyno. I'm hoping to put down around 350-360whp with this setup and the 42# injectors. After this, I'm going to install an intercooler and if I hit 400whp, then I'll be done with the engine and start focusing again on the body. If not, I'll swap a different cam in (I haven't decided which one yet). Anyways, onto the pics:

The only thing that I've done that's not really performance oriented is I swapped out the back seats.

    Before:

    After:

This use to be my NA project (best NA was 222whp), but I got bored and then I CSC. Best decision I ever made

    ^^That for sure.

It looks so strange with the TQ. Stars...but I like it. For sure needs a drop though and it would look tons better. Did you buy the kit from someone demodding or piece it together? I'd love to do a Novi2000 setup someday...but they get sold like once every year or two...and I never have the money LOL

The TQ Stars are kinda different, and to be honest I'm getting tired of them being chrome, lol. I might have to do some painting sometime. I do plan on eventually lowering the Monte, but it might be awhile. I bought the kit from a guy online almost 3 years ago. I had to add a couple things to the kit but it all worked out in the end.

A Novi 2k would be awesome! Maybe later

97gtsc, it's good to see anothere CSC'd 3800! Any 1/4 mile runs or dyno? I really REALLY want to see what my Monte will do in the 1/4.

There was a Built trans Monte Carlo...like a 02 I think...L36 car with a big cam and heads from ZZP with the Novi2K kit @ 15-ish psi? IIRC it was awhile ago...went into the 11's with slicks.

I won't be able to make it Dec 11th sadly. I'll be in OH until this upcoming March/April, then I'd be up for a meet. My home town is about an hour and 15 minutes north of Grand Rapids right along Lake Michigan.

The goal for my Monte is 11's Hopefully sooner then later.

Thanks silverbullet! IIRC the rear seats came from a 90-94 Olds Cutless Covertible. I find that those seats are very comfortable and people who have sat in them love them.
