Ok.. I have a 2001 GT and it wasn't a concern really but I'm going to PA soon and will be doing more then 70mph at times I'm sure.. Anyway I figured it was one of my rear tires so I just went and got 2 used but good condition and replaced them balance etc just for the trip.. I do 70 and bang it's still there now what is curious about it is after 70 the more I hit the gas the more it vibrates BUT if I let off on the gas cruising at say 80 it doesn't vibrate bad but if I just feather the throttle it starts again which makes me think it's got something mechanical to blame.. Any ideas?

Could be a cv joint. I'd look over the front suspension really good though.

could be a warped brake rotor too.

    or shot suspension parts.

I'm not quite sure why but I drove the car today and was on the highway cruising pretty quick expecting to feel the wobble when I hit around 70 and I look down and I'm doing 80 no wobble! So first thing I did was slow the eff down cause the speed limit in NY is 55 lol but yea I'm not sure if there is a problem and hopefully soon I will get to my mechanic and check it out I had to go because when I make a sharp right turn I hear a crunch not sure if that is related but we will see.. BTW Wilke did you rotate you're tires or check balancing on them?

I'm getting the same vibration in the rear. So far, I've had the tires rotated and balanced. I've changed the rotors and pads. I've upgraded to the Dorman trailing arms and the GMPP sway bar. I'm still getting the vibration in the rear. I'm not sure how it could be the CV joint and not feel anything in the steering wheel. The only thing left are the wheel bearings and track bars/lateral links until I have a brand new rear end. I've done the rear bearings on a different GP and don't look forward to heating them out of the knuckles because I know I'll need to. Are the BMR's the only upgrades there?
