    My friend Oldsman105 insisted that I upgrade my rear brakes after getting my CTS-V calipers.... He was so pushy, he scored a set and gave them to me for Christmas.

    Pictures as we installed... Well I did, he just helped cause he is old and tired.

    Old rotor over the larger GXP rotor.

    GXP Rotor.

    Painted and installed.

    All done, was too tired to take picture with the wheels on, I'll do that later. Also took the liberty to paint the Front calipers to match.

    can you feel any difference with them? they look to be like 2 inches bigger, should have some effect.

    how do they fill out the wheels out now, i remember the stock brakes looked small with your wheels.

    looks better then stock either way.

    The car has greatly reduced nose plow when braking. I feel confident that stopping distance has noticeably decreased even more. The only issue i had was the the rear zzp steel braided lines are now too long and rub the 8 inch wide wheel. So i had to pull over and emergency zip tied them to the e brake line to keep them from shredding. I have finals this week and alternate side to deal with so i haven't taken the car out on the highway yet.

    Very nice, MUUUUUUUUUUCH better looking. The car doesn't look that dirty either, I like it.

    Makes me want to do this, but then I'd have to sell the F-body brake kit I bought a while back lol. Not even installed yet, just sitting in the garage waiting for spring.

    that looks damn good! fills the wheel up nice.

    one more dumb question....will a spare tire fit over the back brakes? have you checked that out yet?

    i have f bodys on the front, so i need to carry 2 jacks, just in case of a front flat. ill have to rotate the rear to the front, then spare tire on the back.

    it would kinda suck if you had to carry a full size tire or get towed to a shop. i know NY roads, they are not tire friendly at all.

    The spare tire will not fit over the rears anymore. I need to source one from a Park AVENUE OR 2000+ Bonneville or G body Cadillac (STS/DTS) to get it to fit over my rear brakes. The brake pedal feel is surprisingly better than when I had my stock rears and front cts-v's. It is odd but the pedal feels firmer.

    Just sand all the rust off throughput. Spray and wipe off with brake cleaner. Then use rubbing alcohol to clean surface yet again. The I just used brake caliper paint from oreillys
