i have a loud grinding noise coming from my front left tire just replaced the brakes and whatnot then i heard this noise like metal grinding idk thoe. im sure the bearing is toast. is it a fairly easy thing to replace? was kinda looking it up online and there saying i need air tools to get the axel bolt off? idk how long its been bad for and dont want the wheel to snap off on me and im sure a shop will charge me 3-4 hundred bucks but would rather do it myself so any help or pointers would be greatful

The axle nut is only torqued to around 150 lbs. Get a breaker bar and you're good. It's not bad unless the bolts won't break loose. The bolts for the hub itself may cause you some problems but it is doable. If you're little, you'll want a long breaker bar for that axle nut. You'll have to pull the brake caliper and I think the mounting bracket and rotor. And I believe you'll have to pop the ball joint loose for clearance. It's not hard just takes time.

118 FT LBS for the axle nut, DONT over or under torque it, you will just screw yourself.

never mind, you already had it done, i didnt read.
